ESP Release Radar – November 2021

Your innovation roadmap to energy efficiency and carbon reduction.

We originally wanted to publish a release radar every 3 months, however, our Q2 major release has so many new features in it, we decided we have to put out another release. This release includes even more ways to load data, the ability to present more data types, and features to improve how to navigate the data how you need.

New software connections are making it even faster and more cost-effective to integrate more data into Hub, with one client provisioning 170 new sites in under two weeks. Our new, groups feature has also received great feedback from businesses with multiple sites, or complex sharing needs. With 10 levels available, users can organise assets within multiple hierarchies, accomodating organisational and operational structures at the same time.

New integrations to get the data you need, faster and cheaper.
1. New retail utility meter connections

New software integrations, uniquely available from ESP, provide rapid access to an increased range of retail utility meters. Connect electricity, water and gas Time of Use meters, for detailed interval data, on a daily basis. Get started faster and cheaper than alternative options – with no hardware installs.

2. Secure, automated file integration

Collecting data from existing meters and sensors is now even easier.  Hub Flow automates the transformation and load of interface files from existing systems. Extend your Building Management System, SCADA, or existing meters for energy efficiency and decarbonisation. Custom file maps are available to accommodate a wide range of files, then set, and forget.

3. Retail invoices

Many organisations need a single view of all utility consumption but have smaller sites without a TOU meter and can’t justify new hardware. Hub can load the consumption and billing data from retail invoices. Prebuilt invoice integrations are in place for most electricity, water and gas retailers. Additional integrations can be customised to accommodate your needs.

Improving user experiences.
1. Multi-level consolidation and drill down

Organisations with complex organisational reporting structures now have ten levels to organise and structure data. Whether you need multinational, company, departmental, or team views, Hub is easy to set up, maintain and use. Even better, assets and loads can exist in multiple views at once – so if your organisational groups don’t align with your regional views, no problem! User permissions can be set at any group level to manage data access.

2. New range of data types

Hub now displays an increased range of data types to optimise your energy and carbon reduction. New types include solar, heat, steam and production sensor data. Enjoy the same features that you are used to, including time slicer, overlay and append to analyse the data.

3. Multi-linear regression baselines

To date, baselines could be set from historical data within your dashboard. Multi-linear regression (MLR) baselines are now available to set dynamic baselines that incorporate parameters to understand true efficiency gains. Businesses with variable production volumes can establish per unit efficiency, and remove the noise of “why is energy going up, even though we know we are more efficient.”

A reminder of ESP Hub’s key features.
Improve utilities, in a single platform.

ESP Hub correlates data points across all utilities and your own data sets. Hub has been built to be data independent. With a range of software and hardware connections, you have a wide range of options to rapidly and cost-effectively integrate the detailed data needed to drive sustainable results.

Effortlessly achieve and report on organisational utility goals

ESP Hub allows you to set targets, measure performance against baselines and monitor energy, water, carbon and cost performance results in real time. Quickly drill into building and load data whenever you need it. Report strategic results with the utility dashboard, and analyse detailed data to gain a deeper understanding of performance.

Establish multi-year plans to achieve your utility and carbon reduction goals

Identify projects to achieve your targets for success, quantify expected costs and outcomes over multiple years. ESP Hub projects make it simple to identify and prioritise your utility management focus and efforts.

Quickly identify and resolve load faults with intelligent alerting

ESP Hub uses Machine Learning to identify anomalous performance in your portfolio at a speed that a human cannot match. Hub’s intelligent alerts are similar to a full-time analyst, working tirelessly to provide notifications when results are off track. Move past traditional threshold alerts that quickly become a distraction, and are quickly turned off.
